LES VIOLONS DU ROY AND LA CHAPELLE DE QUÉBEC SUSPEND
2019-2020 SEASON IN QUÉBEC CITY AND MONTRÉAL UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Thursday, March 12, 2020 – Further to the guidelines issued by Quebec’s Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux to reduce the risk of spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, Les Violons du Roy and La Chapelle de Quebec are suspending their concert season in Quebec City and Montreal as of Friday, March 13 March until further notice.

The health and safety of the public and of the organization’s employees, musicians, singers, and guest artists are its main priority. The orchestra and choir will comply in full with the Quebec government's ban on public gatherings and with its request that people returning from out-of-country travel go into self-isolation. This is a force majeure situation brought about by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The organization is working with artists and presenters to assess the possibility of rescheduling concerts affected by the ban. In cases where it is impossible to find a new date, ticket holders will have the choice of having their tickets reimbursed or replaced by tickets to another concert.

As soon as more information is available, ticket holders will be contacted individually. The violonsduroy.com website will also be updated regularly as events unfold.
