Bernard Labadie and the members of La Chapelle de Québec present a thrilling program inspired by the legendary 1705 meeting between two giants of music. Featured are cantatas of astonishing maturity by the young Johann Sebastian Bach, together with one of the most moving cantatas by the venerable Dietrich Buxtehude, acknowledged in his day as Germany’s preeminent composer.
