MUSIC MATTERS

The Morrin Centre, an historical site located in the heart of Old Quebec, is delighted to once again extend, in partnership with Les Violons du Roy, an invitation to participate in its pre-concert talks series, Music Matters. Join Erik Patkau, assistant conductor of Les Violons du Roy, as he will take a closer look at Vivaldi’s Gloria. A unique occasion to discuss the jewel of this choral piece as well as other works featured in the program, such as Haydn's Paukenmesse.

These talks allow attendees to deepen their appreciation for music, better understand the subtlety of the performance all the while learning the history of the pieces to be performed. These lectures take place in a casual atmosphere in the comfort of our beautiful Victorian library . The concert takes place at Palais Montcalm following the talk.
